The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental is the larges interconnected ski area in Austria and also a very imporant part of the Kitzbüheler Alpen ski region. The SkiWelt doesn't stand out simply because of its size and the many different pistes, but also in quality and the modern facilities. It is for this reason that the SkiWelt has been commened for the last two years as the "best ski area in the world", beating some 304 other resorts to this prestigious title.

Commendation for the SkiWelt
The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental was chosen as the best ski area in the world in both 2009/10 and 2010/11. To be awarded this pretigious title two years in a row is something that no other ski area has achieved to date. „Skiresort Service International“ singled out the SkiWelt as the best of the best from some 304 areas! in 2009 snowonline.de also chose the SkiWelt as the top ski area for intermediate skiers.
Visionary projects such as the link from Westendorf to Brixen, and the first solar powered drag lift impressed the judging panel for the „Where to Ski & Snowboard Guide“ leadin to the award for the „Best resort development Europe“. In last year's tests for the ADAC SkiGuides the SkiWelt was awarded for the 1st place for "The best value for money“.
The SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental has twice been awarded the title of best ski area in the world.
