The Kitzsteinhorn is an absolute „must“ for all those who love wild, romantic, 3,000m high mountains and wish to swing over crystal clear powder snow whilst letting their eyes wonder over sheer, endless peaks.

Mountain enthusiasts romp over the Kitzsteinhorn glacier the whole year round. One can enjoy perfect powder snow in Autumn, sparkling firn slopes all through Spring and, in between, a magnificent white Winter with absolutely guaranteed natural snow cover. The unique diversity of Salzburg´s only glacier ski area within the alpine region of the Hohe Tauern, is just amazing: 20 totally modern cable cars and lifts reach up to 3,029m. The slopes are extremely varied and offer everything from enjoyment on wide glacier pistes to conquering fast, steep runs. Excellent winter sport enjoyment and real outdoor feeling are guaranteed here.

 

Up hill and down dale – a true delight!

Skiing until your legs begin to burn, or simply taking things a little easier and enjoying every moment – here on the Schmitten, avid alpine fans of all skill levels will find their own personal ski El Dorado: 77 kilometres of slopes (25 km of which are classified as “difficult”) are just waiting to be skied by you. If you crave even more, let it all “hang out” on the moguls run, the timing hill, or on the training slope. And that goes for boarders, too: a rodeo funpark with rails, funboxes, kickers, spins and a quarter pipe. What more could a boarder’s heart desire!
