KITZBÜHELER ALPEN SKI REGION
More than 1000 kilometres of pistes with guaranteed snow, and just one ski pass - Kitzbüheler Alpen is one of the biggest and most exciting ski regions in the world
In the Kitzbüheler Alpen, the largest ski association in the Tirol, everyone will find their own favourite local mountain, their own secret insider-tip, their own personal challenge: the Kitzbüheler Alpen AllStarCard ski pass is valid in seven great ski areas, which boast 1,081 kilometres of pistes. 356 Cable cars and lifts carry winter athletes, who hanker after snow, up to the summit, 262 ski huts see to their corporal wellbeing, and 82 ski schools take care of technical upgrading. All together that makes six times more pistes, six times more lifts and six times more diversity than “just” the ski sport Mecca, Kitzbühel. The Kitzbüheler Alpen AllStarCard is valid not only in the world renown ski area between the Hahnenkamm and Pass Thurn, but also in SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental, in Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang, in Zell am See and Kaprun, in St. Johann in Tirol, Waidring, Fieberbrunn, Wildschönau, Alpbachtal and on the Kitzbüheler Horn too.
Doubly snow assured
The Kitzbüheler Alpen is not just one of the largest and most interesting ski regions in the world, but are also especially snow assured. High-precipitation in the north-west orographic barrier has for a long time bestowed large amounts of white gold upon the region. Since Mother Hulda can get cranky too, the mountain railway companies have for years consistently been investing in snow-making facilities and these cover a wide area. No fewer than 4,183 snow canons provide consistently perfect snow conditions, from the first to the last day of skiing, on two thirds of the pistes in the largest ski association in the Tirol. This means twice as much snow-assuredness in the Kitzbüheler Alpen.
New lifts and investments for the snowmaking system in the Kitzbüheler Alpen
Once again this year the lift companies are investing in the ski slopes of the Kitzbüheler Alpen, particularly in the snow making facilities. Also important is the building of modern lifts: comfortable and warm gondolas and cable cars are a given. You are sure to have a super week's skiing in the Kitzbüheler Alpen.
One-way Kitzbühel - London please
There are in total 1087 kilometres of pistes in the ski region of the Kitzbüheler Alpen, which is just about the same as the distance from Kitzbühel - London. The extra-long season starts beginning of November in the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area, coming there to an end on the 1st of May with the superb firn snow. In between times there are real “stars” to be discovered, such as Kitzbühel, Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang and SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. Even absolute Kitzbühel experts can experience more unknown sunny slopes, speedy carving pistes and cotton-soft deep snow ski runs in one season than anyone else in their entire life. The Kitzbüheler Alpen AllStarCard is available as a 1 to 14 day ski pass, as a 6-day optional ski pass, or as a season card. A three-day ski pass costs 126 Euro (children 63 Euro), a six-day pass costs 245 Euro (children 112 Euro).
