New Developments for the Cable Car Network

It’s snowing! – Hello Mother Hulda!

The Kitzbüheler Alpen region offers the latest high-tech ski lifts, as well as a highly efficient snowmaking system.

It takes only three days for the snow cannons and snow lances to cover over 70 % of all pistes (= 762 km) - naturally with a little help from Mother Hulda. In doing so, they ensure the Kitzbüheler Alpen’s picturesque landscape sparkles with a dense, compact layer of snow.

Unlike other skiing areas, 20–30 cm of snow in the Kitzbüheler Alpen proves more than adequate to create immaculate pistes and the finest skiing conditions!
The reason is obvious: The Kitzbüheler Alpen slopes have no rocks, just soft grass – that’s the trick!

... snowing again! The region’s numerous snow cannons cover the slopes with crystalline snow.

More than 762 km of pistes, in other words, 70 % of the 1,081 km available in the 7 ski resorts of the “AllStarCard” area in the Kitzbüheler Alpen will be covered by snow from snowmaking machines, even in the event of natural snowfall.

… fantastic:
cool new railways and lifts come into operation!

Winter 2009/10 will naturally see a lot of new features installed in local ski resorts:

Overall, the 7 ski regions in the Kitzbüheler Alpen AllStarCard scheme are investing more than 60 million euros in modern lifts, high performance snow making machines and measures to improve comfort in winter 2009/10.
