Gröstl, Kaspressknödel and Kaiserschmarrn are just some of the traditional farmhouse meals that go down so well in the mountains. For centuries the mountain inns have been providing a place to eat and relax at these high altitudes.
At the Bruggeralm in Jochberg, the Mühlberger Family welcome their guests, who make an early start, to arrive in time for a famous Bruggeralm-breakfast with goats' cheese, Tilsiter, farm-style bread and all manner of other homemade goodies. Enjoy the atmosphere of the old parlour, with the farm tools from three centuries or on sunny days spend time on the large terrace.

The ancient wooden walls are brown-red in colour, the scent of the farmhouse cooking tempts you, and the warming rays of the sun shine across the terrace.
Summer days of long ago at the Brechhornhaus are portrayed in the pictures. The view from the corner table through the small window is almost a cliche, and Grandma couldn';t make a better apple strudel. It is everything the heart could desire at 1700meters above sea level.

The Gasthof „Rigi“ was voted favorite inn at the Mountain Hut World Championships. That is a true honour, with the number of mountain huts in the Kitzbüheler Alpen.
Wonderful culinary delights make this a favourite for day-trippers on the Hohen Salve . The panorama is of course its first selling point: from the Großvenediger to the Karwendelgebirge, summit after summit as far as the eye can see.
