Born out of visions, made of ice and snow

In the winter season 2008/2009 the ALPENIGLU® village, build just of Ice and snow, fascinates its visitors in Kitzbühel again. It is located in the middle of the skiing area in the "Streiteckmulde" where its impressive buildings are seen immediately : The new Highlight in this winter is the impressive “ICE LAND” exhibition – a mystical world of light, sound and breathtaking Ice- sculptures.

The Igloo village can be achieved by gondola and chairlift , by ski or by foot. It is directly at the entrance of the central “sonnenrastlift”, where it is impossible to miss. In the huge main- Igloocomplex with icebar, snow- lounge, and igloo- restaurant the round tour through the amazing “ICE LAND” exhibition starts. The Hotel- complex with 6 sleeping igloos and wellness igloo with infrared cabins brings a typical village character. It is filled with life by the numerous skiers, visiting the village every day to have a break at the snow bar, to relax on deck chairs or to attend a guided tour. Many visitors are coming as well to see the two real reindeers “Manfred and Gerorg” which have been living in the village since 2 years and are trained to pull a reindeer- sledge.

From the end of December the igloo village opens daily and will be in operation approximately until Easter 2008 (it depends on weather activities). The entry for the village is € 10,- including a free drink at the ice – bar, a guided
tour and a personal postcard.
An attendance in ALPENIGLU Village Kitzbühel offers a meeting with the elements snow and ice on a completely new level. The size and impressive buildings fascinate with snow sculptures inside the igloos. Those unusually
lighting in the igloos produces a completely special atmosphere, which will never be forgotten: in some places are modern LED technics with coloured light, in other places there are candles which present a glittering world. Not to
forget: with a cocktail at the ice bar- if you ask for your glass is made of ice, too- you can take your time and relax.

For the guests who stay overnight in the ALPENIGLU village Kitzbühel, particularly prepared sleeping igloos and even a wellness igloo with infrared cabins are available. The individually standing igloos offer depending upon
selected kind of overnight stay for two persons or for groups from eight persons. The beds in the sleeping igloos are perfectly isolated against cold temperatures and covered with reindeer skins. Under the white snow roof,
wrapped into a warm sleeping bag, you disappear in a dream world and the night will become an unforgettable experience. Adventures and "the very special" are united in a smart way!

The whole igloo village can be rent, too, for special events.

An overnight stay in the Igludorf is a completely special gift idea, which you can still extend with extras from the auxiliary offer: Candle Light Dinner, Honeymoon decoration, birthday special or a skidoo ride from the lift station
to the village.
