The Kitzbüheler Alpen is one of the largest ski regions in the world. Many dep-snow enthusiasts find their way to this area, in search of different terrain away from the prepared slopes. In particular the ski areas of Kitzbühel,  Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang , Fieberbrunn and of course the glacier ski area of the Kitzsteinhorn have made a name for themselves on the freeriding scene..

Freeride courses in the Kitzbüheler Alpen

Freeride Day or Weekend in the Kitzbüheler Alpen
Mountain guide Andreas Helmer shows his guests the best freeride descents in the Kitzbüheler Alpen. The tours are based on the number of participants. Good skiers will cover up to 5000m of freeriding slopes per day with Andi and the Alpen AllStarCard Andi runs various Freeridecamps with avalanche training.

Official World Tour Freeride Camp
The Freeride Experience is partnered by the FREERIDE WORLD TOUR and runs official World Tour Freeride Camp events for those who are not only 'at home' in the powder, but also want to take a look behind the scenes of Austria's biggest Freeride event. For the first time ever, the Fieberbrunn ski area is part of the Freeride World Tour circuit, with the Big Mountain Contest, Austria's biggest Freeride event. The official FWT Freeride Camp is being staged by the experienced team from Freeride Experience. www.freeride-experience.at

Three-day Freeride Camp in Zell am See-Kaprun
State examined ski guides take you on a fun-packed adventure in the deep snow during the 3 day Freeride Experience. Short climbs take you to deserted freeride slopes. This 3 day Freeride camp including brand new Freeride skis (or snowboard), safety equipment (Rucksack, VS-gadget, alarm and shovel), transfers and an evening programme costs 299 Euro per person (does not include accomodation or ski pass).

The ski school "Ski mit uns" and many other ski schools in the Kitzbüheler Alpen also offer Freeriding courses.

Freeride Monday on the Kitzsteinhorn

On every Monday from 10:00 - 12:30 (from end of November till beg. of May ) snowboarders and skiers from the age of 13 can experience the fascination of freeriding with technique- and safety tips from professionals.
