This museum features farming machinery and agricultural equipment. There are also various rooms such as the weaving room with a weaving loom which is 200 years old the cobbler's workshop and the miller's room with a cereal mill from the year 1770 which still functions. All of the former provides us with an idea of the historic past of the Jochberg.

To celebrate "100 years of skiing in Kitzbühel" in 1993, the Bergbahn AG has unearthed various items of interest from its archives. The result is a museum unique in the Alps, situated at 1.700 m (5.600 ft) in the mountain station of the Hahnenkamm cable car. Here
visitors can study the development of lift construction - and enjoy a wonderful panorama of the Kitzbühel ski mountains. The exhibits, which include early skiing kits, are displayed chronologically, ranging from the birth of skiing 100 years ago, up to the present.

Located on the site of the former granary and in the medieval tower of the city's fortifications, the recently refurbished museum stands out as a jewel among Kitzbühel's cultural monuments. Carefully selected exhibits as well as sound and film installations take the visitor on a journey through the history of the city and the life of its people, starting with Bronze Age mining in 1000 B.C. and proceeding right up to the modern age of tourism and winter sports with Kitzbühel's legendary team of skiing aces led by Toni Sailer.

From December 2011 Museum Kitzbühel will be enhanced by a definite highlight. The presentation of the Alfons Walde collection is being re-arranged and substantially extended, and the famous winter sports and landscape paintings of the contemporary of Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele will be there for you to wonder at over an exhibiton area covering some 250m2.
