Cross-Country Skiing in the "Kitzbüheler Alpen"

Winter > Cross-Country Skiing > Cross-Country Skiing in the "Kitzbüheler Alpen"
The wide, open valleys of the Kitzbüheler Alpen reward cross-country skiers with superb panoramic views with too many strenuous climbs. You can start at many places along the 580km network of skating and classic cross-country trails, with changing rooms, lockable boxes, shower facilities and restaurants available at these points. There are also snack facilities and rest stations set up at regular intervals along the trails. Despite these careful considerations for the comfort of our guests, all cross-country trails can be used free of charge, as can the most ski buses.

Cross-country skiing circuits are described in detail in the touring portal:

A top tip is the high altitude circuit in sleepy Aschau. It is skiable from early in the season until well into the warm early springtime. The view of the nearby Rettenstein and the Wilder Kaiser on the opposite side really is like a dream!
