"When I get a yearning for far-off places, I open the fridge", a friend of mine told me on the phone yesterday.
(You should know, that she lives in a large German city). "I close my eyes, smell the aromatic cheese and my thoughts turn to an
Alpine pasture (called "Brunnalm") in the Kitzbüheler Alpen!"
Cow bells, Alpine meadows, herbal aromas and natural produce from my native land ... just a part of daily life for me ... what bliss!!
My tip: "Aufi auf d' Oim!" (up to the Alpine pasture), as we Tirol people say and visit the show dairies. You just have to taste the home-made "big stinker" (a soft Alpine cheese from the Tirol) from the "Wilden Käser" in Gasteig. |
